Meet Dr. Barrett Nielsen
My Story
I was born in Bracebridge, Ontario and grew up in Ottawa. Chiropractic has always been a part of my family. My grandfather, great grandmother and great aunt were all chiropractors. I developed a passion for chiropractic at a young age, watching and learning from my grandfather about the power that chiropractic has to improve a person’s health and well-being.
I also have a passion for sports and healthy living. I grew up playing hockey and competitive soccer, which led to a full scholarship at Lander University in South Carolina where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science. I then followed in my grandfather’s footsteps by obtaining a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto.
I believe that chiropractic can play a huge role in the treatment and prevention of pain and injuries through a more natural and evidence-based approach to health care. I welcome patients of all ages and look forward to helping and empowering those in the community to achieve and maintain better health and quality of life through chiropractic care.
Outside of the clinic, I enjoy spending time with my wife and daughter, playing sports, learning German to keep up with my in-laws and occasionally lending a hand on the family farm.
